As you may have noticed the TheIndependenceSquare.com has undergone some changes. There is a lot going on behind the front pages that we would like people to be aware of. Here is the current status of the website: The Independence Square is going through a growing and renewing phase in its history with an emphasis on community. This was the reason for choosing to use a community style content management system for the new website. As time goes on, this website will grow as the community grows. Right now we just have the basics of business listings and some of the major events in our calendar system. What we hope to achieve in the very near future, is to get all the businesses in and around the square to participate with the website. This will help citizens in the community and visitors to the area know what the Independence Square is about, and keep them updated in real time. Also this site will help ensure that all the area businesses are aware of each other, and help coordinate and network our services together to promote the community. Business Owners: We will have a training session with the ISA members on May 20th at the Game Cafe. We encourage owners to register under "create a new account" before the 20th. This will help keep the new users flowing in, rather than have everyone registering at once. During the training session, everything will be outlined to show you how to update your business listings and add pictures. Also you will learn how to post events and specials on the calendar that pertain to your business. Once your account is setup, please send an email to

to notify us of your new account and which business you are with. We will then match your username with your business so that you are the only one that can edit your business listing. We can then set you up with the correct permissions on the website. Public Users: Please feel to register on the website under "create an account". As the website grows, we are exploring options to let businesses keep people interested in their services updated with news and events. Also we are working out details for giveaway drawings for registered users of this website. Your email required for registration will not be shared with any companies other than registered Independence Square Association members.
